Snoring is caused by the relaxation of the muscles in the throat or throat wall, inflammation of the airways or obesity, which cause our upper airway to narrow. When air passes in and out through the narrowed windpipe, it produces a snoring sound. Or in some people, there may be a fluttering of the soft palate, resulting in different snoring sounds.
There is no health pillow that can completely cure snoring, but proper sleeping position can help reduce snoring while sleeping, not disturb others, and reduce the risk of sleep apnea.
Sleeping on a pillow that fits your body, with the pillow’s height and angle appropriate to your body, and arranging your sleeping position correctly will prevent your organs, such as the uvula, jaw, or throat wall, from narrowing your airway. However, this can only be used in cases where you have low to moderate snoring. However, if you have severe sleep apnea, you should see a doctor to find further treatment.
